Have you always wanted to learn to spin your own wool? This workshop is all about thread that literally and figuratively connects. We delve into the prehistory, mythology and magic of this oldest craft. With practical exercises, we will learn to spin and make thread from wool and plant fibers in one day. You will learn to spin and ply on the spinning wheel as well as with the spindle. Cord making and spinning is a creative as well as a practical ancestral skill, and for me personally, the practice also has a spiritual dimension. Depending on the weather, at my home or in the open air, accompanied by folklore & mythological stories, we will make a creative journey through nature and history and re-approach the skills of our foremothers.
